Ao Nam Mao Pier has two pier one a cement main pier used by speed boats to Railay and Phi Phi Island and another smaller floating pier used exclusively by longtail boats for private transfer between Railay the rest of Krabi Province. Ao Nam Mao Pier is a 30 minute drive southwest of Krabi Town.

Ao Nam Mao Pier is located at the southern end of a small town called Ban Ao Nammao, approxamally 24 km by road from Krabi Airport. From Krabi airport taxis and minibuses are available, with transport taking around 40 minutes to 1 hour depending on traffic.
